Colombia; Army re-orders 86 M1117 AFVs from US surplus

The Colombian Ministry of Defense through the National Army, has signed a contract with the United States Government for the transfer of 86 armored vehicles 4×4 AFV  manufactured by Textron Marine & Land Systems (TM&LS) M1117 (locally referred to as Pegaso), second-hand, through the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) and Golden Sentry End-Use Monitoring (EUM).

It should be remembered that these M1117s are second-hand, including many that would have belonged to the American Military Police Corps, and that their current mechanical condition would involve investments for the full operation of a certain number of units, remembering that offers through the EDA are conditioned for sale regardless of the state in which each of the vehicles are.
